WFSO recognises the demands that are imposed, on the Food industry, to comply with EU directives, local legislations to demonstrate 'Due diligence', effective traceability system and HACCP management compliance.
The basic philosophy is to allow the small /medium food business to demonstrate full compliance without the heavy cost normally associated with compliance.
From it's position as an active member of the - in liaison with ISO/TC 34 WG 8 'Food Safety Management Systems’ and Observer Membership of the International Accreditation Forum Inc. (IAF) , a three level certification scheme have been approved to accommodate the food industry to implement a most cost effective program to achieve the international food safety bench mark.
The Food Care Award program is designed to provide a certification scheme suitable for Food business, of all sizes, to implement and achieve certification as the business grow.
