Certification Schemes

WFSO provides three (3) levels of Food Safety certifications. The certification process allows the company to be totally involved and ensures that an effective system is in place.

All levels are in line with EU directives and ISO22000.

1. Food Processing Best Practice Certification (FPBP cert.)

2. HACCP Certification (HACCP cert.)

3. Food Care Award (FCA/ 22000 cert.)

1. Food Processing Best Practice Certification

These criteria can be used to achieve safety supportive measures (SSM), to ensure good practice during food processing. Also the guidelines can be used as pre-requisites to go for HACCP certification.

2. HACCP Certification

These criteria can be used to achieve HACCP certification. It is advisable that all safety supportive measures (SSM) programs are in place, prior to applying to this certification level. This certification level does not encompass management systems, which will be dealt with in the next Level, Food Care Award-FCA/22000 Certification.

3. Food Care Award- FCA/ 22000

These criteria can be used to implement a Food Safety Management System. The Food Safety Management System includes management of HACCP plan monitoring and reviews, hence HACCP shall be in place prior to application for this level.
